Jindo Hongju is a 1,200-year-old folk liquor that has been handed down since the Goryeo Dynasty, and is the only high-quality silk produced in Jindo Island with excellent eco-friendly rice and food and a previous medicine, Jicho. Jindo Hongju began to form in the early Goryeo Dynasty, but it was widely known during the Joseon Dynasty, and it was considered the best among the true products offered to the king, and even the noble families of the four generations enjoyed drinking Jindo Hongju. Jindo Hongju (Wecheoju) is a precious island is one of Jindos three boats (Jindoji, Kugija, Seaweed), 3 rocks (Jindo Hongju, folk songs, and calligraphy). Jindo Hongju (Wichoju) is a name derived from its color and is one of our folk traditional rice distillation rice noodles. It uses the root roots which are naturally grown in the wilderness in its manufacturing process (distillation).
